The week in review.

I think this review will be backwards, but you will get the drift...

We celebrated Noah's 2nd Birthday yesterday. It was quite the party and he was such a trooper. I think he is just the smartest cutest little boy I know, so I was so proud to see him being so friendly and living it up. Here he is with his cake. He was a bit embarrassed that all the attention was on him,but Daddy-O helped with the candle. Maybe next year he will take care of that. He did have a very cool truck cake too. I love my fantastic little godson... he is growing up so fast. I can't believe he is 2!
Reese went straight for one of Auntie Carissa's and Dave's cookies. She snatched one as quickly as she could. She thinks it's so cool that Noah had a birthday. She sings "Happy Happy Oooo yoo" Now she can play with all of Noah's new toys with him!
Noah was opening his presents like it was his job! He's two... he doesn't need help anymore!
Here is adorable Ava and her Mommy, Kristine. You can't see Kristine's belly in this picture, but she look FAB! She is due three weeks after me, so we get to share notes as we go through #2 together.
... and another beauty.... Stephanie and her hunk of a son, James! All the girlies were fighting over him. They look great as usual.

Now, back a few days to Thursday... we had a little play date at our house. Reese, Alicia, Noah, and Roger (and Avery) all played so nice together and enjoyed some pizza. It's so cute to see how they interact and learn to share! The mommies also had a nice time sharing some adult time.
Look at that smile. It was too cute not to post. This was from Daddy's birthday. Reese had finally finished her medicine for her ears, and was back to herself. Daddy had a blast taking pictures of her happy little smiles.
...And lastly, here is Ryan opening up his Birthday present from the family on Friday evening. We celebrated his birthday and he was surprised and so happy to get his very own gps Nuvi! He had no clue, so it was so fun to see his reaction.
Avery wanted to give a toast to her Uncle Ryan for his 28th Birthday!
Guess who!? Reese, of course. Who knew that an Easter bucket would be her most favorite toy/hat/purse at the moment. She is "special"! :)

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter! What a day! Whew. Got up, went to church, did some cooking, entertaining and egg hunting... and now, well we are all pooped. We hosted Easter for my mom's side of the family. It was great to have everyone over, and many were kind enough to bring a dish to pass. I handed out recipes and they all turned out ok. Reese got some adorable Easter baskets from her Grandma and Auntie Sabrina. (She says Thank you!!) Reese has still been under the weather. We went to the doctor yesterday and she has two ear infections, so she is back on medicine. She has been pretty unhappy, but did alright for the day. She enjoyed picking up eggs with Noah, so that was a good distraction. I hope all of you also had a great Easter.

Here are a bunch of pictures. Some were too fun to not share.

Reese and Mommy. She has been attached to my hip for the last few days!

She is so precious
Daddy's favorite pic from the day...
Reese and Auntie Sabrina. A very happy moment.
Boo! Sorry, this pic is just so silly to me!
Reese loves her new forks from Auntie Sabrina and Uncle Mark. (Don't forget to notice the out of control hair)
Noah looked like such a grown up boy today. He is so handsome.
How about this outfit? Sabrina was really working it!

Woo hoo.. egg time!
Look at all the eggs. It took Reese and Noah a bit to figure out to put them in their basket, but once they got the hang of it, they had so much fun. (And the adults loved to watch and laugh)
Noah was a champ!
One last pic that Daddy loves... Reese showing off her goofy self.

seriously?

Nice face, huh? It's not often that I can get her to smile good for me. She is too busy doing her thing. She seems to smile better for Sabrina, "brina" as Reese so excitedly calls her. Well, there isn't too much to report here. Reese is definitely coming into her own self. She has become a bit more bratty. (I mean that in a motherly love kind of way)...

She MUST have a fork when she eats, but just to hold most of the time while she picks up her food with the other hand.

We have passed the throwing food phase, but it some how came back... she doesn't like something and it goes right on the floor.

Her latest is needing to carry around a large plastic spoon. If you take it away, her life is coming to an end. We even had to put it down and say goodnight to it before nap time today. (Stephanie, reminds me of the strange things that Julian loves to carry around)

I guess she just knows what she wants! Really, she is wonderful! I can't get enough of her. She kisses my belly any time we talk to the baby, and I know she will be an amazing big sister.

On another note... her hair! It's at such an awkward stage. If she doesn't get a bath in the morning it's crazy! Hopefully it will grow out soon. Anyone have tips for little girl's hair?

Special Day!

Yesterday was Carissa's Birthday. We celebrated with a delicious fancy meal, some family time and a little Gameworks!! It was such a fun and perfect night. (I hope she had as much fun as we did!)

Auntie Carissa and Reese

Carissa and Dave working hard at preparing a fabulous dinner.

Carissa and her Birthday cake. Who made such a yummy cake? :)
All the stuffed animals won in the "claw" game at Gameworks. We have some pros on our hands.
Yes, we are wearing ears and necklaces, but it got us some free beer, so we can't complain.
And little Reese was smiling at the camera, so this one is just for fun!

For A Cause

We travelled up to Green Bay to attend a benefit to raise funds for Fanconi Anemia (www.fanconi.org/index.htm). Mark, my brother-in-law, has a nephew that is fighting this disease, and each year, they have a benefit to raise money for research. This year was one of the most intense yet. The stories that were shared are scary and unbelievable, and make you want give all that you can. We had a great time and look forward to finding a way to raise more money for such a close to home cause.

Kay and Bryan

Happy 30th, Bryan!

Stephanie and Mark
Mark and Sabrina being silly and looking great!

Eileen and Me

Stephanie, Me, and Sabrina

Ryan and I bet on this fun drink dispenser... which we won! (Yes, we are silly!)Eileen and Ron were all over the bidding on this amazing red Cole Haan purse. It got pretty intense...

...but through all the tough competition, Eileen went home with the bag!

What a difference a day makes

Hello Fans-

In case you were worried about me, I just thought I would check back in and say that once I got my menacin (how I say medicine) on Monday night, I have been sleeping like a champ again, my eyes are just about better, my rash is gone, and soon, the runny nose and little cough will also be gone. I am so glad to be myself again.

XOXO,

Reese

P.S. Auntie Carissa, I hope your recovery is as fast as mine!

It's A... & Poor Reese

You can see the head and body in these 2 pictures. They aren't great and are just a picture of the picture, but... it's our baby! :)

Were you thinking I was really going to give you an answer? That would be too easy! It's a surprise, though it was VERY tempting not to make the doctor tell us. He said he knew what it was which made it very frustrating, but we made it through and will not be tempted again. So, I am 18 weeks along and we are measuring about a week ahead of schedule. They are still keeping the due date at August 4th, but maybe the baby will actually come out on it's own now by it's due date! The doctor said that everything is looking great, so we are very happy.
Look at that sad, sick face... don't you just want to cuddle her? Last night was our worst night ever with Reese. She has been fighting a runny nose, cough, crusty/gooey eyes, and as of this morning, a rash. She hasn't had a fever and we thought it would just blow over, but last night she kept waking up and would just cry and scream. She couldn't get comfortable and even when we held her, she cried and you knew she was miserable. We didn't get much sleep at all! So, this afternoon we decided to bring Reese into the Dr. since we had to go there for my appointment anyway. We went and found out she has a viral cold and a minor ear infection. Poor Poor Reesey. She just seems so sad. We got some medicine and she should be ok in less than 5 days!
