Puccini's Came to Town

The Puccini's were here! It was so nice to see them. We always wish that they lived closer and their visits are never long enough. Josh graduated college and the "quads" are now 16! I remember when they were born! Time sure does go by fast.

Pirate's Cove

Last week, we headed to Pirate's Cove in Elk Grove for our first FUN Monday. It was quite hot, but we had a great time anyway. From the trains, to the boats, slides, and bounce house... the kids had a blast. My second cousins, Katie and Brian, work their, so it was really cool to see them as the kids ran around.

Reese went on this slide probably 20 times. She thought it was so fun, and let out a "weeeeeeeeeeeeeee..." on the way down each time.
That's a lot of stairs for a little girl - with a potato sack in hand.
Cruising on the boats.
Avery loved running around the playground.
Chase is so happy that he can walk. Even better than walking is climbing up stairs. He just can't get enough.

Father's Day - Take Two

On Sunday, Father's Day, we headed up to Wisconsin for brunch, followed by a visit to the Bear's Den petting zoo, a place that Ryan remembers from his childhood. Jason, Grandpops, Grandma Jill, Grandpa John all met us for a fun filled morning. After getting a little lost, we ate and headed to the zoo. The place was practically in some one's backyard, but they had so many animals... a bear, baby deer, wolves, turtles, tigers and so many more. Here are a few of our highlights!
(Happy Father's Day to Grandpops and Grandpa John. Thanks for being so awesome!)

Brave Grandma Jill! There was no way I was letting this thing hold on to me.

Grandpa John and Chase.

Reese and her buddy Abigail! That's right, her name was Abigail, though she wasn't quite as cute as our favorite neighbor.

Reese went in with some baby cows, a lama, goats... She really liked the goats since they were smaller than her. She was less intimidated.

Here's the tiger. Her name was Sabrina!

Grandpops and Chase.

Chase and Reese on the big tractor.

Chase loved it.

Chase had no problem getting on the horse. He was all smiles.

Yes, Reese is smiling through the tears. I think I told her she had to smile for the picture before we would take her down. She was so scared. Poor girl.
Guess she still isn't ready for the pony rides.

Father's Day- Take One

We headed out to the Foley Lake House Saturday morning to have a Father's Day brunch with my dad. There was so much yummy food, and the company was great! (The Puccini's were still there so it was an added bonus) We had a great time hanging out, and the kids had even more fun with Papa. He is so cool and has all the greatest toys. Hope your father's day was great, Dad! We love you.
The kids made this stone for my dad's yard. 6 grandkids already!

Cheesey Dave.

Sabrina and Avery.

Mr. Scream. He was quite loud that day. (He needed a nap!)
Mr. Chase has been a walking machine lately. He can get up in the middle of the room and seems to crawl less and less every day. I think it will make him happier! :)

Reese and her Papa!
Happy Father's Day to Ryan too. Of course we didn't forget about him. He got some fun gifts, but most excitingly, he got tickets to a small play of High School Musical 2 with Reese and Mommy. Thanks to Ryan for being the greatest Dad to Reese and Chase. He's one amazing guy, and we know it!

Schaumburg Flyer's Fundraiser

Sabrina and I hosted a little fundraiser for Fanconi Anemia this past weekend, and it was a super fun success. Thanks to everyone for coming out. We can't wait to do it again!

Here's Chase at the end of the night. It was a long one, but he did great.

The Wennerstroms. What a nice family photo!

Jodi and Me! We work together and have so much fun when we hang out.

Jodi and Tony.

All the "Foley" ladies.
Jen, Sabrina, Avery, Reese, Me, and Carissa.

A few Eclipse Alumni. Schager, Me, Pope, Sabrina and Brooke.
It's been a long time, but it was great.

Jonathan and Jen.

Cute little Abigail.

Some of the Thommes'.
Nathan, Christine, Carissa, Michelle, Jeff, Matt, and Ed.
I have more pictures. Maybe I will get some more up soon.

This is Reese's new hang out. She is getting sneaky. We put her to bed and we don't hear a peep. When we come upstairs to go to bed, here she is... asleep at the top of the stairs. Tonight we put up the gate... She's not getting out this time! :)

Little BFFs

We got to hang out with our friends, the Berggren's on Saturday night. It was such a nice time. The weather was awesome and we got to enjoy their impressive backyard! :) Reese and Madisyn had such a fun time hanging out and Chase tried to join in the fun too. We got to hang out with our friends, Brian and Amie too, and it was as laid back and fun as always. Thanks for having us. We can't wait to see you again.

Madisyn and Reese enjoying their s'mores.
Laughing at Madisyn and Chase.

Hanging out like old ladies at a tea party.
"Chase, stop stealing our crackers!"
"Who wants to play ball?"
Cute story... Reese kept asking what Brian and Amie's name was. I was like, kid, you are telling me their name. She said, "No Mommy, what's their Connelly name!?" Ha. So, we told her Brian and Amie's last name was Berggren, and after calling them Berger for a while, she moved on to Berggren. It was cute.

A Baby Girl on the Way

My great friend and college roommate Bree and her husband Shaun, are expecting their first baby in August. She looks great and after her baby shower, she just needs the baby! She got so much stuff. Reese got to help her open her gifts which was so exciting to her! Bree and her sister Shannon were nice enough to decorate Reese with all the bows as they opened the gifts. Reese thought she was so cool! Thanks to Bree and Shaun for hanging out with us Friday night and letting us crash at your place. Bree, we can't wait to meet Baby A!

Chase had a fun time playing with the new baby toys and shoes. Here he is chilling in the closet.

The New Zoo

We woke up on Friday morning... had some breakfast with Ryan before sending him to work, hit up the kiddie water sprinkler at the pool in the hotel, and then got ready for a day out at the zoo. The weather was amazing, and one wrong turn later, we made it to the zoo.
We took some time to sit down and let Reese and Chase out of the stroller for some moving around time. Chase loves to move, so he was more than happy.
Reese actually told me she wanted to take a picture with this lion. She wanted to sit on it, but I didn't want her to fall as I walked back to take the picture.
We took one lap around the zoo and Reese did not want to put her head in the hole... second time around, she couldn't want for her turn for the picture!
How cute is that!? They really can make each other laugh lately. Adorable.
My little Reese who wouldn't feed any animals last year at the petting zoo, was more than excited to feed the giraffe and goats. I was impressed.
She fed a couple goats. She didn't want to leave anyone hungry.
A shaved lama... Poor thing. He just looks... scary!
The hats helped with the heat, though Chase didn't want to leave his on.
Reese in action. (Don't mind my talking!)
